#NakedEye Selfies from Bryan Singer, James Franco, Jake Shears & Colby Keller For Your Eyes Only

How much would you pay for a disposable camera full of undeveloped photos James Franco took just for you? Or maybe you’re more curious to get a roll of film from Broad City‘s Ilana Glazer or Drag Race star Alaska Thunderfuck.
New York’s longest-running LGBT film festival, MIX NYC, is auctioning off disposable 35mm cameras full of never-before-seen candid pics and selfies taken by queer celebs and allies. Proceeds from the annual #NakedEye celebrity photo auction go towards supporting queer experimental cinema.$_12In addition to Franco, Glazer and Thunderfuck, MIX has collected disposable cameras from a who’s who of queer arts and pop culture. Filmmakers, actors, authors, drag queens and porn stars have been asked to use their imagination and create candid but compelling photos giving us a glimpse into their everyday lives. Out of the 24 mystery photos taken with the disposable camera, at least one will be a selfie. The starting bid for each disposable camera is $50.

“For some, owning something made by a favorite artist, actor, or porn star is the most valuable thing. For others, it’s the chance to peek into a celebrity’s private life that that makes the camera so precious. But in the end, it’s the exclusivity of ownership that really motivates the buyer. And the auction format is what puts the price of that exclusivity within reach.”
