Simon Perry’s High-Fashion Affair at the Virgin Hotel in Chicago

The brand-new Virgin Hotel in Chicago is welcoming a stylish guest this summer. And he’ll be staying a while.
Fashion photographer Simon Perry was invited by Richard Branson and co. to conceptualize and shoot a gorgeous fashion spread on location at the first-ever Virgin Hotel: a red-accented, Art Deco-inspired property which opened in downtown Chicago this past January 2015.

Simon Perry incorporated gowns, jewelry and other clothing accessories by Chicago-based designers to be featured in these stunning images, which are currently hanging at the Virgin Hotel’s cozy Shag Room. It’s a fashion show as a work of art. Simon Perry’s fashion exhibit will be on display all summer until August.

The Shag Room — a comfy, circular lounge with a plushy shag carpet and tucked right behind the hotel reception club — is not the only stylish place to be found at the Virgin Hotel. Cherish, the chic-eccentric rooftop lounge, opened just in time to celebrate summer with its lush, bohemian style and epic, 360-degree views of the Chicago skyline.

Lucky Chicagoans, that’s exactly where the Virgin Hotel will be hosting its Pitchfork Music Festival afterparties, with DJ sets by HAIM, Future Islands and special guests. If you’re free and near the Windy City the weekend of July 17, go check out the party.
