Women have been observing the male species closely for centuries, and yet one question remains: why do they make that face the moment they blow their load?
A “very curious female” has gone on a journey to finally uncover the truth by asking a bunch of dudes on Reddit to reveal what male orgasms feel like. The responses are varied but pretty accurate based on our personal experience with the subject matter.
“It’s like transforming back from a werewolf into a regular person, but probably messier,” wrote one Redditor. Men, apparently, turn into some sort of post-coital Buddha are an orgasm, with many of the responses citing a brief moment of perfect mental clarity after the mind is freed from constantly thinking about sex, sex, sex.
“One thing I don’t think gets emphasized to women enough is the total mental transformation a guy goes through pre and post orgasm. It’s like suddenly waking up and realizing you’ve got shit to do.”
Some guy said his grandpa called this brief enlightened period “The Wise Man’s Minute,” while the Japanese have an actual term for it: “Kenjataimu.”
“It’s like you have your actual brain and your penis brain in constant conflict. In the refractory period, your penis brain is passed out and your actual brain can make decisions unhindered,” added another Redditor.
The Reddit guys even point out that there is a big difference between ejaculating from masturbating (out of necessity) and ejaculating from passionate, mind-blowing lovemaking.
“When it’s actually ejaculation due to sex, everything is magnified and the ejaculation is more intense.”
Either way, cuddling immediately after an orgasm is an icky feeling. Give it a minute or two.
“After orgasm anything sexual/romantic literally makes my dick hurt.”
And the penis is not the only part of the man’s body that gets affected.
“I’m always just astounded that my significant other’s legs work so soon afterward.”
Other guys feel a little bit guilty about all the dirty stuff they did to reach in orgasm.
“It’s like going from ‘HOLY FUCK’ to ‘What did I just do? Why did that happen? For Christ’s sake what is wrong with me?”
