Diva Gifs: How to Stand Up to Mediocrity with Animated Perfection

There are times when we have to rise above getting into a catty fight and resort to the power of the gif. Use this as your arsenal whenever someone is being utterly insipid online or off. By the way, the flawless Beyonce Super Bowl gif above is the Helen Keller of gifs, wins every time.

For this post, I requested the help of the master of the animated sass squad, Mr. T. Kyle, so follow his Tumblr in case you need some last minute back-up. Here we go!

When a stranger you just met goes on and on about HOW LUCKY you are to be a career writer:

When Oh No They Didn’t republishes your story without permission because they’re total leeches and can’t afford you:

When a friend of a friend implies that you two should have a conjoined birthday party:

Whenever you meet a Republican. You:

Them:

When you go through all your Facebook photos in awe of your many reinventions:

When you see another awful “music video” by some desperate twink trying to be a DIY pop star:

When a college friend tells you the script they’re working on is a cross between Garden State and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind:

When everyone is crazy about a musical artist that you saw live two summers ago:

When you’re having a fun night out not afraid to act a fool because sitting there refreshing Grindr is not what clubs were built for:

When someone says something so idiotic but you don’t want to correct them because you want to see their stupidity keep going:

When someone you’ve never met nags about being your plus one:

When gay guys post only variations of a self-portrait on Instagram:

When your friends want to take photos in public:

And they want to keep taking them…:

When someone always favorites your tweets but never retweets:

When you’re the life of the party ’cause someone’s got to:

When someone introduces you as a writer for a publication you’ve never written for:

When your friends convince you to go to Booty Call Wednesdays:

When people post their work out routines on Twitter:

I just happened upon your site here and am impressed. I’m a follower now so I look forward to many interesting reads in the future! Like the above comment, usually I’m indifferent to the numerous gifs flooding the media; however, your posting is very entertaining and relevant. Thanks.

[…] Diva Gifs: How to Stand Up to Mediocrity with Animated Perfection – Now, this blogger is sassy and it definitely shows in his posts. He mixes educated, with sophisticated, with funny, with…well, just plain sassy! He is obviously educated and knows a lot about the LGBT issues he writes about which includes arts & entertainment, literature, etc. I chose this post, because I thought it was hilarious and it gave me a good laugh, which we all know can be good  for the soul! He features .gif (basically moving pictures, think Harry Potter) images that represent thoughts or ideas…like being fierce, represented of course by the fabulous Beyonce at the SuperBowl. Check out this amazing blogger and get a giggle at these hilarious pictures! […]
